Amid uproar govt implement anti-paper leak law
What is in the law?
Under the law, there is a provision of a minimum of 3 to 5 years imprisonment to curb cheating (copying) in public examinations. There is a provision of 5 to 10 years imprisonment and a minimum fine of Rs 1 crore for those involved in the paper leak gang. If a person or a group of persons commits an organized crime, which includes the institution conducting the examination, service provider, or any other institution, then a minimum of 5 years imprisonment can be punished under this law. It can be extended to 10 years.
If you do this, you will be jailed and fined
Leaking the question paper before the examination.
Action will be taken for manipulating the assessment without any authority or without bonafide error.
For deliberately ignoring or violating the standards and rules prescribed by the Central Government for any examination.
For tampering with any document which is considered necessary for shortlisting the candidate or determining his merit or rank.
Action will be taken against those who deliberately violate security standards with the intention of causing disturbances in the conduct of the examination.
Action will be taken against you for being involved with other people in the answer key or paper leak.
Action will be taken against those who view or possess the question paper or OMR sheet without any authority.
Action will be taken against those who help the candidate in writing the answer in any examination, directly or indirectly.
Action will be taken against those who tamper with the answer sheet or OMR sheet.
Tampering with computer network, computer resource or any computer system has also been declared illegal.
Action will be taken against those who tamper with the seating arrangement, exam date or shift allocation of the candidate with the intention of cheating in the examination.
Action will be taken against those who threaten people related to the Public Examination Authority, Service Provider or any government agency or create obstruction in any examination.
Action will also be taken against those who create fake websites to extort money or commit fraud.
Action will also be taken for conducting fake exams, issuing fake admit cards or offer letters.
