Tata Steel Meramandali Celebrates International Day of Yoga

 Meramandali, June 21, 2024: Tata Steel Meramandali (TSM) celebrated International Yoga Day with enthusiasm in the plant and among the community in nearby villages. Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) organised events with adolescents in various AnganwadiCenters (AWCs) and schools of Odapada Block, in coordination with its Project RISHTA team. The event, themed "Yoga for Self and Society," aimed to introduce participants to the benefits of yoga, promote physical and mental well-being, and foster a sense of community among the adolescents.

 The objective of the event was to introduce adolescents to the practice and benefits of yoga, promote physical and mental well-being through yoga exercises, foster a sense of community and togetherness, and highlight the importance of yoga for personal and societal well-being.

 

 

 

 Observing International Yoga Day at Paikapurnakote ground, 115 players from TSF's volleyball coaching camp and school students celebrated the occasion along with the teachers of the Paikapurnakote high school. TSF's volleyball coach, AshutoshPatra, trained the participants on more than 10 asanas and motivated them to practice it daily.

 Inside the plant premises, an engaging yoga session was organized by the administration department at the Kisinda Club and at G-4 colony for workers. More than 50 employees and their family members participated in the sessions, which were conducted by certified yoga instructors. The event saw the presence of key figures from TSM, including Ved Prakash Thakur, Chief Shared Services, TSM, Rajesh Agarwal, Chief Electrical, TSM, and other senior executives. The sessions featured various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques, all designed to enhance physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
