maharashtra government presented budget of revenue deficit of rs 16 thousand crore

Mumbai, Mar 09, (Fast Mail News):-- Maharashtra's Finance and Planning Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday presented the first budget of the Shinde-Fadnavis government with a revenue deficit of Rs 16,000 crore in the assembly. The budget has expressed an estimate of depositing Rs 4,49,522.61 crore from various sources and spending Rs 4,65,645.02 crore on various items.

 

In this way, the state government is going to have a revenue deficit of Rs 16,122.41 crore in the year 2023-24 budget. In this way, the Finance and Planning Minister of the state tried his best to please all sections including the farmers of the state.

 

In his budget, the Finance Minister has assured farmers to provide benefits to all farmers under the loan waiver scheme announced by the previous government. Along with this, a provision of one thousand rupees has been made for farmers for irrigation, ponds for water harvesting, modern agricultural machinery, cold storage, horticulture etc. Along with this, a provision has also been made for crop insurance for the farmers at Re 1, so that the farmers can get immediate benefit in case of crop loss. Similarly, a provision of Rs 1325 crore has been made for 5 years in Konkan Chandgarh, Kolhapur.

 

 

Devendra Fadnavis has announced compensation of Rs 15,000 per acre to the paddy producing farmers in the budget, the installment of which is going to be paid by the state government. The state government has made a provision of Rs 50 crore in the budget for fishermen.

 

In the budget, the Finance Minister has also given permission to the farmers to spray pesticides in their fields with drones. Along with this, a provision has also been made in the budget to provide immediate benefits to those affected by the scheme.

 

Along with this, the Finance Minister has made a provision to start 5 Mahamandals in the state and Rs 50 crore will be given to each Mahamandal every year. In order to strengthen the Gram Panchayats, it was also announced in the budget to start a solar power scheme. Along with this, different provisions have been made in the budget for each category including women.
