Congress Attacks Nitish Government Over Crime Against Women
PATNA: Congress has cornered the Nitish government over Bihar’s Nalanda where a woman’s left hand was bandaged, and nails had been hammered into her soles. This brutality has shaken people to the core.
“This heart-wrenching incident in Nalanda, Bihar, has sent shockwaves in the area. The condition of the body has left everyone stunned”, congress alleged.
Congress stated that this horrific case reflects the plight of women in Bihar, where they are falling victim to torture and crime.
A 26-year-old woman was brutally murdered, and her body was dumped in a forest. What’s shocking in this ruthless murder is that the woman was tortured before brutally being murdered.
The murderers have hammered at least 10 nails into both the soles of the woman, thereby indicating that the woman was possibly subjected to inhuman torture before the murder.
The party has alleged that Bihar was among the top states in terms of atrocities and harassment against women.
March 1, 2025: A woman was shot dead in the capital, Patna.
February 1, 2025: A differently-abled woman was subjected to brutality in Katihar.
January 24, 2025: A 65-year-old woman was gang-raped over a minor dispute.
Congress stated that these are just a few examples. Crimes against women in Bihar are continuously rising, yet the government shamelessly remains a mere spectator. The truth is that the BJP and its governments are like a nightmare for women, forcing them to live under the shadow of fear and insecurity.
