Pakistan should be divided into two parts and merge PoK with India: Revanth Reddy urges PM Modi

In a show of solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, the Congress party organized a massive candlelight march in Hyderabad today. The march was attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, several state government ministers, Congress leaders, and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi.

During the candlelight march, CM Revanth Reddy addressing the crowd said, "We will all stand together in support of our country's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. When China attacked our nation in 1967, Indira Gandhi gave a befitting reply. Later, in 1971, when Pakistan attacked our country, Indira Gandhi responded decisively and divided the nation into two parts. Today, we must take action against Pakistan. We must give a strong response. The 140 crore people of India are with you. Divide Pakistan into two parts and merge PoK with India—we are all with you."

Additionally, representatives from progressive parties of 100 countries, participating in the Bharat Summit organized by the Telangana government in Hyderabad, issued a joint statement condemning the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam. They expressed solidarity with the people of India, stating that such acts of cruelty against peaceful civilians have no place in society and are a direct attack on the constitutional values of unity, peace, and harmony.

The statement read, "We, the representatives of progressive parties from 100 countries, along with other participants of the Bharat Summit in Hyderabad, are deeply distressed by the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, which targeted and killed 26 innocent civilians and injured many others. We express our solidarity with the people of India and strongly condemn this terrorist attack. Such cruelty against peaceful civilians has no place in society and is a direct assault on the constitutional values of unity, peace, and harmony."
