All India Inter University Basketball Tournament Kicks Off at Manipal University,Jaipur
The event was inaugurated by the Pro-President, Manipal University Jaipur- MUJ Cmde. (Dr.) Jawahar Mal Jangir and Registrar Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar. The national event is graced by the Secretary general of Basketball Federation of India Mr. Kulvinder Singh Gill and Arjuna Awardee Dr. Suman Sharma joined as the observer of the tournament. The President, Manipal University JaipurDr. G K Prabhu applauded the efforts of the participants and wished them the best.This Association of Indian Universities national event is hosted by the Directorate of Sports, MUJ. Dr. Reena Poonia, the Director, Sports, MUJ has been overseeing the event.
In the North Zone, powerhouses such as Panjab University Chandigarh, Mharshi Dayanand University Rohtak, Kurukshetra University, and Guru Nanak Deve University Amritsar have assembled formidable squads ready to battle it out on the courts of Manipal University Jaipur.
Representing the East Zone are V. B. P. S. University Jaunpur, Utkal University Bhubaneswar, Calcutta University Kolkata, and H.C.Y. University Durg, showcasing their determination and skills in pursuit of basketball glory.
The West Zone is set to witness intense competition as the University of Rajasthan Jaipur, Swarnim Gujarat Sports University Gujarat, University of Kota Kota, and M.D.S. University Ajmer, lock horns on the court, aiming to outplay their opponents and secure a spot at the top.
The tournament promises to be an exhilarating showcase of basketball talent, with players not only competing for their universities but also aiming to leave an indelible mark with their exceptional skills. Spectators and basketball enthusiasts are expected to witness electrifying matches over the course of these four action-packed days.
The All India Inter University Basketball Tournament is not just a celebration of sporting excellence but also an opportunity for these talented athletes to test their mettle against the best in the country.
