Rahul Gandhi : Petrol-Diesel and LPG Prices Will Rise After Elections, MSMEs Will Suffer Severe Blow

The ongoing war in West Asia and rising crude oil prices are impacting the Indian currency. The rupee is continuously weakening against the dollar.

Launching a sharp attack on Modi government, on “X”,the leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said,"The rupee  weakening towards 100 against the dollar and the sharp rise in industrial fuel prices — these are not just numbers, they are clear signals of impending inflation."

He stated that even if the government calls it 'normal', the reality is that production and transportation costs will become more expensive. MSMEs will suffer the biggest blow. Prices of everyday items will rise. FII money will exit even faster, increasing pressure on the stock market.

Rahul Gandhi further said:"On the other hand, every family’s pocket will face a direct and deep impact. And it is only a matter of time before petrol, diesel, and LPG prices are hiked after the elections. The Modi government has neither direction nor strategy — only rhetoric. The question is not what the government is saying; the question is what is left in your plate (thali)."

It may be recalled that in recent days, the Congress MP had said that the world is changing rapidly. Crisis is knocking at our door. If the government does not take immediate steps, LPG, petrol, and diesel will become a major problem for crores of Indian families.

The truth is clear that  the central government has compromised India’s energy security. He had also said that a weak and directionless foreign policy has brought the country to this dangerous situation. Now is the time to speak the truth and prepare the nation. Otherwise, the common people of India will have to pay the price.
