Iran's Tough Stance: 'If Energy Sites Will Become Targets; We Will Completely Close the Strait of Hormuz'

(Fast Mail):-- Following US President Donald Trump's warning, Iran has adopted a tough stance and issued a major alert. Iran has clearly stated that if its energy installations are attacked, it will completely shut down the Strait of Hormuz, which could have a severe impact on global energy supplies.

Trump had given Iran a 48-hour ultimatum, stating that if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened, the US would attack Iranian energy installations. Immediately after this warning, Iran responded aggressively, making it clear that in the event of any attack, it would fully close this crucial maritime route.

Meanwhile, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, in an interview with NBC News, said that US military forces are being used to weaken Iran's fortifications. He stated that this campaign will continue until Iranian strongholds are completely destroyed.

Bessent also questioned media reporting, saying that US actions are not being portrayed accurately. He rejected Democratic Senator Chris Murphy's statement accusing the Trump administration of losing control of the war.

According to Reuters, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement saying that if the US attacks, not only will the Strait of Hormuz be closed, but companies with American stakes will also be targeted.  The IRGC further warned that energy installations in countries hosting US military bases would become "legitimate targets."

In its statement, Iran emphasized that it has not started the war and does not wish to do so, but if its power plants are damaged, it will take every possible step to defend the country and its people. This confrontation has further escalated tensions in the Middle East, with fears of significant global repercussions.
