'Khalnayak' poster outside Rabri Devi's residence in Patna, targets CM Nitish Kumar

PATNA: Posters targeting Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have once again appeared outside the residence of former Chief Minister and RJD leader Rabri Devi. The poster states, "I am not a hero, I am a villain." It explicitly mentions, "Yes, I have insulted women, I have insulted Gandhi ji, and now the national anthem has been insulted."

The poster features Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,JDU MLA Gopal Mandal, and BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul. Earlier too, such posters have surfaced in Bihar, stirring political tensions. On Friday as well, posters were put up outside Rabri Devi’s residence, taking a dig at Nitish Kumar.

The posters displayed on Friday called the government "Dhritarashtra’s government." In these,Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was referred to as "Kursi Kumar" (Chair Kumar).

The RJD has alleged that the morale of criminals in Bihar has increased, attributing it to the NDA government, which has been in power for 18 years. The posters also mention heinous crimes against women, specifically citing incidents like the brutal act in Nalanda where six nails were hammered into a woman’s feet.

Additionally, the RJD has labeled Nitish Kumar’s government as a "20-year-old dilapidated government" and an "incompetent BJP-JDU government." Citing figures, the RJD claimed that under Nitish’s regime, Bihar has witnessed 60,000 murders and 25,000 rape cases.

Moreover, in the Bihar Legislative Council, the opposition created a ruckus, accusing the state of deteriorating law and order. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was present in the House during this uproar. The opposition also raised slogans against the government.

Speaking outside the House, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi said, "In the House, the ruling party does not allow the opposition to speak, and the government refuses to acknowledge the opposition’s presence. So many incidents are happening in Bihar—murders, abductions, robberies, rapes, and rapes of Dalit girls. When we raise these questions in the House, the ruling party prevents us from doing so."

She added that these are the questions of Bihar’s people, and if they cannot raise public issues, what else would they raise in the House? She stressed the need to discuss the incidents taking place. Regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, she said, "The Chief Minister starts saying, ‘What did you (Rabri Devi) and your husband (Lalu Prasad Yadav) do?’ Everything has been done by us, according to him."
