Two Angul labourers died of suffocation in septic tank

 ANGUL:Two labourers died  due to asphyxiation while working in a septic tank in Dhaurapali village under Kishore Nagar police station today. These deceased are Artatrana Mirdha,45 and Reena Mahar,35.While Mirdha belong to local Baija village  Reena hails from zRengalibeda in the locality..

 According to the police,Artatran was a masson and Reena was a labourer.In the morning today,they went into village Dhaurapali to construct a septic tank at about 8am.

 

  Earlier,a 7ft tank was constructed there but today they went for centering work.After they went into the tank they didn’t return. Other workers who were working there when they found the two didn’t return,they went searching for them.They found two were lying unconscious in the tank.They raised alarms by which villagers gathered and called fire brigade staff.The duo was immediately shifted to Kishore Nagar hospital where they declared dead.

 Kishore Nagar IIC,Bibhuti Pradhan said the bodies were sent for post mortem and a case for unnatural death has been registered in the police station.He said as the septic tank was closed for several days  the suffocation was caused when it was opened today.The tank belong to a retired High School teacher of Kishore Nagar.
