12th Angul Mahotsav inaugurated by chief minister

 ANGUL:The three days 12th Angul Mahotsav was inaugurated by chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi with the initiation rupees 800crore developmental project.Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pani,lagislators Ashok Kumar Mohanty,Nalini Pradhan,Agasti Behera,municipality chairmn Akshya Kumar Samant,Zilla parishad Chairman Babita Pradhan besides collector A Akhtar were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion,the chief minister has announced that there will be industrial corridor in the state linking Paradip to Rourkela through Angul.He said Angul will be the centre of the project as it has occupied a special place in the country.The district has huge coal deposit and provides coal to the nation for production of the electricity.It has also big power stations which illuminates the country.On the whole he said the district contributes a lot for the development of the nation.He announced one lakh crore investment in the district mainly in coal and aluminium sector.

Listing his achievements in last ten months of his coming to power he listed Subhadra Yoyana,krushak Samrudhi Yoyana and huge investments for the state.He said due to subhadra Yoyana,there have been 17lakhs Lakhyapati Didi in the state which stood number in the country.This has empowered the women in their financial position.

 

 Similarly,he said due to Krusak Samrudhi Yoyana,the state farmers have been highly benefited by getting 3100 per quintal of paddy.While,the previous BJD government failed to fulfil the demands.He said,there will be a 17lakh crore investment for the state by the investors of the country as they will be provided all kind of support to stand their business.Such type of investment couldn’t be achieved by previous government,he added.

Recalling his public hearing at Sambalpur,Majhi said his government is of the people by the people and for the people. Entire government machineries reached Sambalpur to hear the grievances of the people.The chief minister also announced rupees 10lakh ex-gratia for those killed by elephant while it was 6lakh earlier.He announced  measure on the plea by Pani and Pradhan.

Earlier,the chief minister paid tribute to great sons of the district like Nabakrushna Choudhury,Malati Choudhury,Dr debendra Pradhan and Pabitra Pradhan.
