9 children among 27 dead in Rajkot TRP gaming zone

RAJKOT:The death toll touches 27 in a massive fire at TRP Game Zone in Rajkot, Gujarat. 9 children were among the dead.

The question is, how did such a massive fire break out in the gaming zone?It is being told that 1500 to 2000 liters of diesel was kept in the gaming zone and 1000 to 1500 liters of petrol was kept for go car racing. This is the reason why the fire took a more severe form, according to reports.

How did the fire start here? Who is responsible for such a big accident? There are many such questions which are being asked. Amidst these questions, there is a wave of mourning in entire Gujarat due to the accident.

The story of TRP Game Zone fire incident is heart-wrenching. As soon as the fire was reported in TRP Game Zone on Saturday night, fire brigade personnel reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Reports said, since Saturday was a holiday, a large number of people were present on the spot. The management of the gaming zone had set a scheme of entry fee of Rs 99. Since it was a holiday and the fee was only Rs 99, a large number of people had reached here, reports said.

Describing the incident of fire in the gaming zone, the DM said that in the initial investigation the cause of the fire is being said to be electrical. However, the main cause of the fire has not been revealed yet. Initial investigation has also revealed that the gaming zone had not received NOC from the fire department. It is also being told that NOC was never applied for.

One of the reasons behind such a huge loss after the fire is that there was only one path of 6 to 7 feet for exit and entry from the game zone. In such a situation, there was chaos after the fire. People faced difficulty in passing through this route. When this accident happened, the children playing in the game zone who came out told that suddenly the staff there came and told us that there is a fire, you should come out. After this everyone started running away from there. Only a few people could not get out, because there was only one way out from the first floor.

Police have arrested 3 people including the operator and owner of Rajkot Game Zone. A SIT team of 5 officers led by senior IPS officer Subhash Trivedi will investigate the matter. SIT will give the preliminary report in 72 hours. SIT will give detailed report in 10 days.
