Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha : PM is compromised, we were stopped from speaking

 (Fast Mail News):-- Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, claimed on Wednesday that he has been stopped from speaking multiple times in the House, and for the first time in India's history, the Leader of Opposition has not been allowed to speak in the House.

Rahul Gandhi said, "I have been stopped from speaking (here) multiple times. For the first time in the history of India, the Leader of Opposition has not been allowed to speak in the House."

He also said, "This House is for the expression of the people of the country. It does not belong to one party; it represents the entire country. Whenever we stand up to speak, we are stopped."

Rahul Gandhi also said today, "Our Prime Minister has compromised. Everyone knows this."

 

 Today, the discussion is ongoing in the House on the opposition's no-confidence motion to remove Speaker Om Birla. For this discussion, 10 hours were allocated yesterday, of which about 7 hours of debate took place on Tuesday.

Today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the House.On Tuesday, on the second day of the session, opposition MPs brought a no-confidence motion against Om Birla, accusing him of bias in conducting the House proceedings.

After more than 50 MPs supported the motion by voting in favor, the Presiding Officer granted permission to introduce it in the House and allowed discussion.

It is noteworthy that during the last phase of the Budget session, while participating in the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address, Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to quote from the memoirs of a former Army Chief, and despite repeatedly raising the issue, he was not permitted to speak.
