Congress attacks BJP Over Insult to Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand

(Fast Mail):-- Congress Media and Publicity Department Chairman Pawan Khera, during a press briefing on Monday, targeted the BJP government over the alleged mistreatment of Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand during the Magh Mela.

He stated that there is an atmosphere of 'mismanagement' everywhere in the country, and the government is playing politics in the name of religion, while ignoring the respect due to common people and saints.

Referring to the controversy related to the Shahi Snan (royal bath) during the Magh Mela and Mahakumbh, Khera said that this is an ancient and unbroken tradition that neither the British nor the Mughals ever stopped.

He accused the current government of obstructing this tradition and preventing Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Ji from performing the Shahi Snan.

Khera questioned why Mohan Bhagwat is provided Z-plus security and a convoy of 50 vehicles, while on the other hand, the Shankaracharya was not allowed to proceed further with his palanquin.

Pawan Khera said, "Has Mohan Bhagwat become greater than Shankaracharya? Why is he being given such heavy security?"

He also alleged that during the Mahakumbh, separate arrangements were made for the rich and influential people, while common devotees and saints faced mistreatment.

He claimed that the government's faith has now become a business, and politics of money and power is being played by hiding behind religion.

The disciples of the Shankaracharya were misbehaved with, dragged by their hair, which causes pain to witness.

Khera clearly stated that Congress does not do politics over religion and will not tolerate it.

Pawan Khera also mentioned cases from Odisha and Rajasthan. He said that in Odisha, BJP supporters were reading Hanuman Chalisa outside a police station demanding the release of a person who had murdered a Muslim.

On the other hand, in Udaipur, after the murder of Kanhaiya Lal, then-Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot provided jobs to both his children and handed over the case to the NIA, but justice has still not been delivered.

Accusing the BJP, Khera said, "These people are neither for work nor for Ram. They are only for power and money. This is their real face, which it is necessary to expose before the country."

Pawan Khera also referred to Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand's fast  and said that following this incident, the saint is sitting on anshan, but it has no effect on the government.

The government has deployed its entire 'troll army' against the Shankaracharya because he does not bow before the government.

The king should bow his head before the saint, not the saint before the king. If no action is taken in this matter, the government will be called not 'Sanatani' (follower of Sanatan Dharma) but 'Dhanatani' (follower of wealth).
