IFFCO Nano DAP will promote natural farming: Amit Shah
Meanwhile, Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah said that Nano DAP liquid and Nano urea liquid will strengthen the agriculture sector. This will reduce the consumption of fertilizers and the farmer will be prosperous. He further said that with the introduction of Nano DAP (Variable) and Nano Urea (Variable) there has been a reduction of 14 per cent in the consumption of urea and a target has been set to reduce the consumption of DAP by 06 per cent first and then by 20 per cent.
In this context, he further said that both the nano fertilizers will reduce the cost of the farmers. This will reduce the cost of wheat by six per cent, while the cost of potato and sugarcane will come down by 20 per cent.
Shah said that IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid) is the beginning of making India self-reliant in the fertilizer sector. At present, 384 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer is produced in the country. Out of this, cooperative institutions produce 132 lakh metric tonnes, in which IFFCO alone has produced 90 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizers.
It is noteworthy that IFFCO has already launched Nano Urea (Liquid). Today Union Minister Shah also launched IFFCO Nano DAP (Liquid). IFFCO says that both the nano fertilizers prepared by the institute are capable of increasing the yield and quality of the crop.
A 50-kg bag of DAP, which costs Rs 4,000, is provided by the government to farmers for Rs 1,350. IFFCO is now going to make available this 50 kg sack in the form of Nano DAP liquid fertilizer in 500 ml bottle.
