Israeli airstrikes kill over 800 in Lebanon since Sept. 23

BEIRUT: Over 800 people, including women and children, have been killed and 2,500 others injured in ongoing Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon since Sept. 23, according to reports.

The figure is likely to rise as the Israeli army continues to  airstrikes in various areas across Lebanon.

Hezbollah and Israel have been engaged in cross-border warfare since the start of Israel's war on Gaza, which has killed nearly 41,600 people, mostly women and children, following a cross-border attack by Hamas last Oct. 7.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli attack in the southern suburb of Beirut on Friday.

The international community has warned that Israeli attacks in Lebanon could escalate the ongoing Gaza conflict into a wider regional war.
