Rahul calls people to dislodge Modi and Naveen government

SALEPUR(Odisha):
Kick starting his Odisha campaigning, former congress president Rahul Gandhi has exhorted people to dislodge both Modi and Naveen Patnaik government and install congress government which will be a government of poor and farmers.

Addressing a mammoth rally at Kulea in Odisha’s Salepur, Gandhi made a scathing attack on Naveen Patnaik and Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for indulging in rampant corruption and anti-poor policy. He said Modi government is run by around 20 people while in the state  Naveen Patnaik government  is managed by a few people. He charged both BJD and BJP has marriage and partnership in the governance.

Referring to Telangana, he said BRS and BJP had married there and looted the state. But the people of the state have removed them from power and brought in congress government .Likewise, in Odisha there is a marriage between BJP and BJD who give PAAN(Pandian,Amit Shah,Narendra Modi,Naveen Patnaik) to the state. At Delhi,the government is run by 22 people while in Odisha the government is  run by Pandian.

Stating that there is a huge corruption in the state to the tune of lakhs of crore Rahul promised that if congress comes to power, these money will be collected and will be given to the people. He said,there is scam of 9lakh crore in mining,20,000 crore in land grab and 15,000 core in plantation and other schemes.

Gandhi on the meeting also gave some guarantees o the people of Odisha if congress will be voted to power. Listing the guarantees he said,all the women in the state will get rupees 2,000 per month,unemployed youts will get 5,000 per month,200Units free power to each consumer and gas cyclinder at the cost of rupees 500.As the congress has fulfilled the each promises in Telangana and Karnataka, likewise in Odisha where simultaneous assembly and Lok Sabha elections are being held congress will live up to its guarantees.

“Congress will make crores of Lakhpati in the country if comes to power”,Rahul Gandhi said.

 

 Stating about the national scenario the congress MP charged Modi government of giving 16lakh crore benefit to the handful of 22 industrialists but nothing to common man. He announced that if congress  voted to power, it will prepare a list of poor families in the country and out of each family a woman will be selected to get rupees one lakh per year through bank account. Simililarly congress will address the unemployment problem while offering one year job to unemployed youths who will beg employment.

The congress leader also promised farmers to waive farmer loan.it will also tak care of labour class working class people in enhancing their wages,he said. Charging BJP of insulting ‘adivasis’ by calling them ‘vanavasi’ Rahul promised to preserve the rights of the ‘adivasis’ in terms of land,forest,water .Stating that adivasis are the first owners of this wealth.

He said congress is all set to double the wages of asha workers,anaganwadi workers and other workers while enhancing the wages upto rupees 400  under MANREGA scheme.

Earlier,Rahul Gandhi arriving at Satyabhamapur helipad went to the village and garlanded the statue of Utkalmani Gourav Madhu Sudan Das.The villagers of Satyabhamapur who gathered in large numbers greeted the congress leader.The PCC President Sarat Patnaik also spoke on the occasion. Prachar Samiti A chairman Bhakta Charan Das made welcome speech.Among others Odisha in-charge Dr,Ajoy Kumar,Md Moquim,congress leaders Jaydeb Jena,Niranjan Patnaik,former PCC President Prasad Harichandan,Odisha Congress Media in-charge Bobbeeta Shrma,Odisha media department head Dr.Biswranjan Mohanty attended  on the occasion.
