ATM looters gang busted in Dhenkanal

DHENKANAL:Dhenkanal Sadar police have busted an ATM looters gang by arresting two out of seven members in the gang who are involved in the ATM breaking in the district.

The arrested are Hadibandhu Sethi ( 28) and Sarbeswar naik 33.Both of them belong to Sadasibpur area of the district. A bike and two crow bars also were seized from them,according to the official Chandrakanta SEthi.

Sethi said that they were patrolling the night on January 25 in the Sadar area of Dhenkanal district.At that time a group pf seven criminals were breaking the ATM of canara bank at Barada village of the police station.At the sight of poce the criminals have fled from the spot.

"while they saw us they started fleeing from the spot .They had cut 70 percent of the ATM but could nor loot the cash .we reached on time and they fled from the scene.They were a total seven persons .They Fled by a Bolero"said the official.

HE said they chased the criminals and nabbed two out of seven members from the nearby jungle.

Sethi said that this gang is involved in several crimes in the distift and mostly in breaking ATMs .THose five who fled from the spot are veteran criminals .

The accused were arrested on Sunday .
