Youth shot and injured by unknown assailants in Angul town

ANGUL:Three motorcycle-borne miscreants shot and injured one 30-year-old youth and beat up his friend in front of ECO park at Sikhyakpada in Angul town.The youth sustained bullet injury is identified as Bhabani Shakar Pradhan and another injured is known as Biswajit Mishra,29.Both belong to Sikhyakpada and run business.

According to police both the friends Bhabani and Biswajit were standing in front of Nicco park at about 11pm last night.Suddenly,three armed youths arrived on the spot by motorcycle.One of them fired from his pistol to Bhabani and the bullet hit in his lower stomach portion.He fell down on the ground.Immediately after the firing another youth hit Biswajit with an iron rod injuring very badly.Then the three fled from the spot.

Local people finding them injured rushed them to Angul DHH and informed the police.The injured then were shifted to SCB Medical College Cuttack.The condition of Bhabani who sustained bullet wounds is stated to be serious.

Angul town IIC Dhiresh Das said that a cas has been registered in the police station in this connection and three people persons have been detained for interrogation.”We have almost identified the culprits who had committed this crime and will succeed in cxracking the case.We hope to solve the case by arresting real culprits behind the incient”,said the IIC
