Birthday wishes poured in for Rahul Gandhi as he turned 54 on Wednesday

 NEW DELHI: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and several other party leaders congratulated Rahul Gandhi on his birthday and described him as the voice of the weak, a person with unwavering faith in the Constitution and a person who shows the mirror of truth to the power.

Kharge posted on 'X', "Heartiest birthday wishes to Rahul Gandhi. Your unwavering commitment to the values ??enshrined in the Constitution of India and your strong compassion for millions of unheard voices are qualities that set you apart from others."

He said, "The Congress party's ethos of unity in diversity, harmony and compassion is visible in all your actions, as you are engaged in your mission to wipe the tears of the last man by showing the mirror of truth to the power. I wish you a long, healthy and happy life."

Congress general secretary KC Venugopal posted on Twitter: "I include myself among the crores of Indian citizens who wish our beloved leader Rahul Gandhi ji."

 "Rahul ji is the undisputed leader of the poor, underprivileged and backward citizens of India. He is the voice of the voiceless, the pillar of strength for the weak, the guardian of our Constitution, the crusader for justice and India's brightest hope for a glorious future," he said.

 

"He has faced attacks from all sides but he has stood firm and never wavered from his principles, no matter how much ridicule or humiliation he has faced," Venugopal said.

"I wish him a happy life and the strength to fight the good fight. Rahul ji has specifically instructed all Congress workers to avoid any big celebrations and instead celebrate the occasion through humanitarian efforts, charity and in an eco-friendly manner," the Congress general secretary said.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot posted on 'X', "Infinite birthday wishes to former Congress President and popular MP Rahul Gandhi ji, a tireless traveler of justice and goodwill from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and from the Northeast to Maharashtra, who fought against every injustice with the principle of Satyamev Jayate. Your strong leadership has given a new dimension to the campaign for the protection of justice, constitution and democracy in the entire nation."

Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970 in New Delhi. He is the son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Currently, he is a Lok Sabha member from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, he was an MP from Wayanad in Kerala.
