BJP leader Amit Malviya accused of 'sexual exploitation, Congress asks- Is this BJP's IT cell or a gathering of beasts?
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate has attacked BJP after allegations of sexual harassment against BJP IT cell chief and West Bengal co-in-charge Amit Malviya.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinet said in a press conference, “It has not even been 24 hours since Narendra Modi's government was formed, but BJP leaders have brought shame to the country with their black deeds and this allegation is not being made by us, but by BJP leaders themselves.”
She said, “BJP leaders themselves have accused IT cell in-charge Amit Malviya of sexual exploitation. Shantanu Sinha is a leader of the Sangh Parivar, who is the brother of Bengal official Rahul Sinha and a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Apart from this, he is the head of the Hindu Sangh. He alleges that Amit Malviya sexually exploits women in Bengal. Not only this, all this is not happening only in five-star hotels, but it is also happening in BJP offices.”
The Congress leader further said, “Apart from this, in his tweet in Bengali, he said that there is a competition among BJP leaders to supply women. He has named Amit Malviya and said that he sexually exploits women. This allegation is not of the Congress, but of a person from the Sangh, who himself is associated with the BJP. “
The Congress spokesperson further said, "With what face does Narendra Modi talk about the protection of women, when he gives protection to the accused every time and it is not a mere coincidence that again the allegation of sexual exploitation has been levelled against a person who holds a high position in the ruling party. He is in a way the head of propaganda, who creates the narrative. Check the history of this person, placing such a person in such a position shows the moral bankruptcy of the BJP."
Supriya Shrinate demanded a fair inquiry into the allegations against Amit Malviya and said that until the investigation is complete and full action is taken, a person who has been accused of such a serious sexual exploitation cannot hold such a high position in the ruling party.
The Congress leader said, "I want to ask that the allocation of ministries is still pending, but will any new child development minister who will be appointed, also wear a blindfold and observe a vow of silence like the previous one?" Amit Malviya has talked about taking legal action against BJP leader Shantanu Sinha who made the allegations. Malviya said that the allegations made by Shantanu Sinha are baseless and there is no truth in them. Earlier, Malviya had sent a legal notice to Shantanu Sinha, asking him to apologize for the allegations and remove his social media posts within three days. The three-day deadline is ending on Tuesday.
