India beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets,takes lead in the series

 NEW DELHI: The Indian cricket team has taken an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the 5-match T20 series by defeating Zimbabwe by 10 wickets at Harare Sports Club. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal played an unbeaten innings of 93 runs off 53 balls in India's victory. Apart from him, captain Shubman Gill also contributed an unbeaten 58 runs off 39 balls.

India won the toss in this match and gave the host team a chance to bat first. In response, Zimbabwe scored 152 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. India achieved this target in just 15.2 overs without losing any wicket. Team India started with a defeat in the first match of this series, after that match India has won this series by winning three consecutive matches.

 

 

The  Indian opening pair completely kept the Zimbabwean bowlers out of the match.Jaiswal batted with a strike rate of 175.47, hitting 13 fours and 2 sixes during his innings of 53 balls. Captain Shubman Gill also hit 6 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 148.72. No Zimbabwean bowler could stand in front of the Indian batting. The best figures were of Richard Ngarava, who gave 27 runs in 3 overs and did not take any wicket.

The openers gave a good start in Zimbabwe's batting,but the lower middle order could not perform.Captain Sikandar Raza was the highest scorer of the team at number four, who played an innings of 48 runs in 28 balls.

Earlier,India had bowled well against the Zimbabwean batsmen. Khalil Ahmed took 2 wickets for 32 runs in four overs. Tushar Deshpande, Washington Sundar, Abhishek Sharma and Shivam Dubey got 1 wicket each. Ravi Bishnoi, who was a very successful bowler in the series, gave only 22 runs in 4 overs but did not get any wicket.
