Chhendipada MLA attacks worker during III phase polling

ANGUL: BJD Chhendipada MLA Susanta Kumar Behera has allegedly attacked a worker at Similisahi of Kosala block during voting this afternoon triggering tension n that area.According to reports,voting ws in process at Silimisahi booth peacefully when local MLA Behera entered into booth this was protested by the BJP workers by which Behera allegedly threatened and attacked BJP worker Sidhartha Shankar Sahoo.Pooling continued in that booth despite the disturbances.When

When MLA Behera was contacted he denied having attacked anyone near the booth saying that had gone to see how the polling is taking place.On his return there was a provocating comment from BJD workers gathered near the booth.He said he got tempted and dissuaded them not to do that.Meanwhile,Sidhartha has lodged an FIR online at Chhendipada police station against the MLA Susant Behera.A counter FIR also has been lodged by MLA side.

Chhendipada IIC Bibhudatta Chhotray said he had been informned about the attack by MLA about .Investigations will be made into the incident,he said.

In another incident at Hindol a 62-year-old polling agent of BJP died while the polling was on.according to police during the polling BJP agent Sukadeba Patnaik complained uneasiness and was rushed to Hindol hospital while he received dead.Police suspect sun stroke might have been the cause behind his death.

Small violence also have been reported at Athamallik.Besides these incidents,the polling passed on in these twqo districts of Anghul and Dhenkanal passed off peacefully.
