Illegal liquor manufacturing unit busted in Dhenkanal Bhuban, Zilla Parishad member and police constable arrested
DHENKANAL:The excise department officials of Dhenkanal have busted a duplicate foreign liquor manufacturing unit busted and arrested thee persons,including a police constable,Zilla Parisad member Parisad member.
The raids were conducted by an excise squada in Bhuban area today and arrested the three accused. The officials also have seized around 2000 bottles of duplicate foreign liquors besides sealing machine, cork and others.
The arrested Zilla Parisad member is from Zone number 3 of Bhuban block has been identified as Subash Majhi,45. The arrested constable Susanta Dalei,40 who is working at Zankhapura police station in Jajpur district has also been nabbed.The third arrested is Arabinda Das of Ekatali village where raid was conducted.
Today, a special excise squad led by deputy Superintendent of Excise Sitarani Patayat led by rushed to Ektali village of Bhuban block. They found a manufacturing Unit of foreign liquor. The squad dismantled unit and seized around 2,000 duplicate foreign liquor bottles. The squad also seized a sealing machine and corks. The seized foreign liquors are of branded foreign liquor companies”.
Panigrahi also said the three persons including one Zilla Parisad member was also arrested in this connection. He said it is under investigation to ascertain the ZP member belongs to which party.
He said two live bullets were also seized from the arrested police constable.
