The ministry says that a young male patient who recently returned from a foreign trip has been identified as a suspected patient of monkeypox. The patient has been isolated in a designated hospital and is currently in stable condition. He has traveled to a country where monkeypox cases have been found.
The patient's samples are being tested to confirm the presence of monkeypox. The case is being managed as per established protocols and contact tracing is ongoing to identify potential sources and assess the impact within the country, according to officials.
