Jagdalpur: Home Minister honored soldiers with Gallantry Medal-Vishisht Seva Medal

Jagdalpur, Mar 25, (Fast Mail News):-- Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the 84th Foundation Day celebrations of CRPF as the chief guest. The Union Home Minister also awarded gallantry medals and Vishisht Seva Medals to officers and jawans who showed indomitable courage in terrorist and Naxal incidents. In the program, Amit Shah inaugurated many development works and buildings, while also launched the Halbi news bulletin.

 

Self among the soldiers awarded with Gallantry Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal. Havildar Deep Chandra Verma has been posthumously awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry for the indomitable courage displayed by him and the supreme sacrifice of his life. Martyr Deepchandra Verma's wife Saroj received the medal. On 18 February 2020, Constable Kanai Manjhi of 208 CoBRA was posthumously awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry during an ambush by Naxalites, in a jungle area of Sukma District, Chhattisgarh. Papiya Manjhi, wife of Sepoy Kanai Manjhi, received the medal. Constable Rohit Kumar killed two notorious Maoists. He was awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry for the skillful tactical strategy and fighting skills displayed by him. Later on 19th April 2019 he died untimely in a horrific road accident. Priya, wife of late constable Rohit Kumar, received the medal. Naresh Kumar killed three dreaded terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the densely populated area of Chhattabal, Srinagar. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry.

 

Havildar Ram Kumar Toppo killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists who had come to attack the local body election party. He was awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry. Havildar Mahendra Kumar and constable Sandeep killed two dreaded terrorists hiding in a house in Avantipora, Jammu and Kashmir. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry. Second Commanding Officer Mayank Tewari along with his team killed a Pakistani terrorist. He was awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry. In a fierce encounter with the terrorists, constable Amit Singh Yadav and constable Jibike Dalpat Bhai killed two dreaded terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry. Assistant Commandant Master Vikas, Havildar Vinay Kumar Rai, Constable Gurmukh Singh and Constable Rabi Prasad Verma killed three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists in a joint operation. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry.

 

Inspector Pramod Kumar Singh, Constable Pradeep Singh, Constable/Bugler Mohammad Riaz, Constable Debrao, and Kuldeep Kisan killed two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists in a joint operation. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry. Constable Vikas Rana and Constable Umar Hussain killed two dreaded terrorists in a fierce encounter with Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry. Acting on information about the presence of Maoists, a Maoist was killed by Constable Gawara Tirupati, a team of 168 Bn and 204 CoBRA. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry. Constable Thomas Boro, Constable Satish Sharma and Constable Brijnandan Kumar Paswan killed three Pakistani terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed in the encounter. He has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry.

 

The trophy for Best Operational Battalion of CRPF deployed in North East Sector was received by Swaran Singh, Commandant, 20th Battalion, Assam. Surjeet Kumar of 178 Battalion, Commandant, Sophia received the trophy for the Best Operational Battalion of CRPF deployed in the Jammu and Kashmir sector. Trophy for Best Operational Battalion of CRPF deployed in Left Wing Extremism affected area to Commandant Kumar Mayank, 161 Battalion, Bihar/Gaya, Trophy for Best Operational 1 CoBRA Battalion to Commandant 205 Cobra Kailash Arya, Trophy for Best Group Center of CRPF to DIG GC, Ajmer To Anil Kumar Singh and Best Training Institute trophy was received by Arul Kumar S, DIG, RTC Avadi.
