Karni Sena attacks Samajwadi Party worker in Varanasi
A Samajwadi Party (SP) worker was allegedly attacked by Karni Sena members outside his house in Varanasi, police said on Sunday, 13 April, according party sources.
Samajwadi Party worker Harish Mishra has alleged that he was standing outside his house on Saturday afternoon when he was suddenly attacked with a knife.
Hearing the noise, the locals reached the spot and saved him from the miscreants. They also caught the two assailants and beat them up.
The senior police official said that three people have been detained from the spot in connection with this case.
"The murderous knife attack on Harish Mishra, a fierce and aggressive speaker of the Samajwadi Party, popularly known as 'Banaras wale Mishra ji', is highly condemnable. His blood-stained clothes are a symbol of the collapse of law and order in UP. Every SP worker has the strength to withstand such attacks," Yadav said in his post on Saturday evening.
