Modi Govt Inflicts Severe Damage To Democracy In 11 Years : Kharge

 By Jagadananda Pradhan

(Fast Mail):
Launching a scathing attack against Modi government,Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said over the past 11 years, the Modi government has inflicted severe damage on Indian democracy, the economy, and the social fabric.

In a post in “X”,Kharge accused the BJP-RSS of weakening every constitutional institution and striking a heavy blow to their autonomy, whether by toppling governments through backdoor tactics or forcibly imposing a one-party dictatorial rule. During the period, states’ rights have been ignored, and the federal structure has been undermined.

Kharge alleged that Modi government is relentlessly spreaing an atmosphere of hatred, threats, and fear in society and exploitation of Dalits, Adivasis, backward classes, minorities, and weaker sections has been continuously increased, with conspiracies to deprive them of reservation and equal rights.

The unabated violence in Manipur is the biggest proof of the BJP’s administrative failure,he alleged.

He further claimed that the BJP-RSS has accustomed the country’s GDP growth rate to 5-6%, compared to an average of 8% during the UPA era. Instead of delivering the promised 2 crore jobs annually, millions of jobs have been snatched from the youth. Inflation has reduced people’s savings to a 50-year low and pushed economic inequality to a 100-year high.

“Demonetisation, flawed GST, unplanned lockdowns, and attacks on the unorganized sector have ruined the future of millions. Schemes like Make in India, Start-up India, Stand up India, Digital India, Namami Gange, and 100 Smart Cities have all failed. The railways have been mismanaged, and the Modi government has merely cut ribbons for infrastructure projects built by the Congress-UPA”,Kharge said.

Kharge stated that the last 11 years of the Modi government have been wasted rubbing the ink of dictatorship on every page of the Constitution!
