Priyanka Gandhi slams BJP over Prajwal Revanna sex scandal
Despite being already aware of these actions of the MP, he was given the ticket from Hassan seat, she is alleged.
Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also asked why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent on this entire matter?
The Karnataka government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged 'sex scandal'.
Prajwal Revanna has contested the Hassan Lok Sabha seat as a National Democratic Alliance (NGA) candidate. Voting on this seat took place on 26 April. JDS had joined NDA in September last year.
Priyanka Gandhi in her "X" handle said, “Today that leader of Karnataka is absconding from the country. Just hearing about his heinous crimes is heartbreaking. He ruined the lives of hundreds of women." She asked, "Modi ji, will you still remain silent?".
He claimed, “This is not surprising. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, Kuldeep Sengar and now Prajwal Revanna..., the Prime Minister has shown his true face again and again”.
Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate told reporters, “Prajwal is the MP from Revanna Hassan seat, is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and is part of the ‘Modi family’. Prajwal Revanna ruined the lives of hundreds of women and fled the country. Thousands of his porn videos are viral, in which he is sexually exploiting women of all ages”.
The women who were sexually exploited by Prajwal Revanna include party workers, housewives, MPs and women from the District Panchayat,it is alleged.
Supriya said, “Narendra Modi knew about its brutality, yet he made Prajwal Revanna his common candidate, shared the stage with him, praised him, patted him on the back and sought votes for him.”
Supriya said that despite knowing everything, Prime Minister Modi made her his candidate from Hassan seat. He said that when the Karnataka Women's Commission took cognizance of the matter and the SIT was formed, Prajwal Revanna fled the country.
