11 people died and 90 others were injured after violence erupted again in Sudan

At least 11 people died and 90 others were injured after the violence erupted again in Sudan  after the military and paramilitary forces clashed following a military coup. Sudan's army and paramilitary forces are thirsty for each other's blood. Reports said, fierce clashes are still being seen in many areas. There has been heavy firing in many violence-hit areas.

An aid group said on the social media platform 'X' on Friday that the attack took place on Thursday in the Karari area of the city of Omdurman and that children were among the dead.

Tensions escalated into open conflict in mid-April between the country's army, led by General Abdel Fattah Burhan, and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, led by General Mohamed Hamden Dagalo.

The conflict then spread to many parts of the country, turning the capital Khartoum and neighboring Omdurman into urban battlefields. The conflict also fuelled ethnic violence in Sudan's West Darfur region. Aid group MSF said those injured in Thursday's attack were being treated at Al Now hospital in Omdurman.

Many Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, had tried to reach an agreement between Sudan's army and paramilitary forces. There was some peace for about a month, but after that violence broke out again. Since then, civilians are also being killed in continuous violence. Sudan's army and paramilitary forces are facing each other.
