BJP’s Anti-Women Mindset Exposed by Women Themselves: Akhilesh Yadav

 He alleged  that even before independence, the BJP’s earlier incarnations had a "character, conduct, and face" that prevented them from showing themselves openly, as their actions, crimes, and conspiracies were deemed negative and criminal by the standards of patriotism, morality, and social values. Consequently, their activities were always clandestine, operating covertly as informants.

In a lengthy post on the social media platform X on Tuesday, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav wrote, "The BJP has changed its form multiple times to avoid recognition. This tradition continues today. Their supporters, using anonymous identities, play a negative, clandestine role behind the scenes, opposing those who threaten their power."

He further stated that fundamentally, the BJP and its allies have been those who traditionally ensured their own dominance in power. Those who have historically controlled politics and the economy have always supported the BJP and its allies with ‘strength and wealth’ or ‘wealth and strength’ from behind the scenes. The BJP has never wanted any other class or section to gain political or economic power, nor has it supported the idea of people’s rights. Hence, they have always opposed the Constitution, which empowers the public.

Yadav added, "The BJP follows the regressive ideology of ‘might is right,’ which is why, even in the social sphere, they view the exploited, oppressed, deprived, and women with disdain. Their patriarchal, feudal mindset still denies women dignity, respect, or freedom of expression."

Yadav highlighted the mistreatment faced by the wife of a martyred soldier from Pahalgam, who appealed for ‘peace and harmony’ in the nation’s interest, stating that such derogatory behavior and abusive language have deeply hurt and shamed every woman and true patriot. He pointed out that whether it’s a courageous woman in Nainital trying to foster brotherhood, a singer exposing the BJP through her songs, or an investigative female journalist making revelations, they are threatened with indecency and immorality, and their work is suppressed under pressure. He called such acts by BJP supporters unforgivable, stating that even the word ‘condemnable’ is insufficient to denounce the BJP and its negative allies.

He asserted that the BJP’s pretense of ‘honoring women’ is a facade, and its mindset is fundamentally anti-women. In this time of immense grief for those who have lost loved ones, it is time to stand with them and openly support courageous women. The moment has come to expose the BJP and its allies’ anti-women mindset and narrow ideology. Every girl and young woman in the country is now declaring that they will unmask the BJP’s anti-women face. He emphasized that those who do not respect the dignity, honor, and prestige of women can neither be ‘Indian’ nor ‘humane,’ and the BJP has no moral right to use ‘Indian’ in its name.

Yadav urged the Women’s Commission not to indulge in mere verbal formalities but to demonstrate its authority if it exists. He questioned, “Is it there? Is anyone there?”
