4 dead after massive fire breaks out at factory in Amritsar

 AMRITSAR: At least 4 persons were charred to death after fire breaks out in a pharmaceutical factory located on Majitha Road in Amritsar, Punjab early Friday morning.Amomng the dead who were burnt alive  a woman is also included.

Getting information,the DSP reached n the factory which is situated at the village Nag Kalan. The condition of 7 people is stated to be critical. All the burnt people have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

 It is being said that about 6 people are missing, who have not been seen after the fire in the factory. The family members of these people say that they did not return home from work.

 

 Locals allege their children had come to work in the factory as usual. But did not return from work. The families of the missing youth have appealed to the administration to find them. The relatives of the missing children say that they had received information about a fire in the factory. But they reached the spot but no trace of the children was found. They cannot even contact their people on phone. Because it is prohibited to bring phone in the factory..
 
The fire brigade officials reached the spot to control the fire which occurred at about 3.30am.Due to presence of flammable materials in the factory, the fire couldn’t  be controlled soonj. Later,the fire brigade officials controlled the fire. Goods worth lakhs of rupees burnt to ashes.At present, efforts are being made to identify the deceased.
