Angry mob sets dumper on fire after two killed in road accident in Assam's Kamrup
Reports said,the bike driver and the pillion rider died on the spot.
According to reports, the bike was hit from behind by a speeding dumper (AS-25EC-9359) near Rangia Tinali on Saturday, police said. The deceased have been identified as Hakeem Ali and Nazim Ali, residents of Rangia Gogamalsa.
The fire was brought under control in time otherwise many shops near the incident site would have caught fire. Traffic on the international highway came to a complete standstill for some time during protests by locals.
A team of paramilitary forces reached the spot and removed the protesters from the road. The police have taken the bodies of the two persons killed in the road accident and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem. The police have registered an FIR in this regard and are investigating the matter.
