Angul:Youth killed from minor verbal duel
ANGUL: From a mere verbal duel,a youth was killed by another youth in village Angarabandha last night under Angul Sadar police station. After receiving complaints from the victim's family police have launched investigations into the matter.
The deceased has been identified as Soumya Ranjan Behera,27.According to his family sources,after taking dinner last night Soumyaranjan was walking on his village road.In the meantime Susanta Sahoo,a village youth who drunk heavily was passing on that route. Report said,Soumya had some talks with Susanta by which Susanta got enraged. Susanta brought a stick and hit Soumya on his head.Then he allegedly pushed him to the village pond.
Sadar IIC Dhiren Behera said,the victim’s uncle Saroj Behera has lodged a complaint that his nephew was murdered by Susanta.He said police have launched investigations and are awaiting the post mortem report.The culprit will be booked soon,he added.
