Britain's first Jagannath temple to be built in London with the help of Odia community

London, Apr 25, (Fast Mail News):-- The first temple of Lord Jagannath in UK's London city is going to be built with the help of Odia community. The community will contribute 25 million pounds for the construction of the temple. The first phase of temple construction will be completed by the end of next year.

 

The Shree Jagannath Society (SJS), UK, registered with the Charity Commission in England, said global Indian investor Vishwanath Patnaik took the pledge at the first Shree Jagannath Sammelan held in London on Sunday. Patnaik, founder of the Finnest Group, and Arjun Kar, the company's managing director, are among the principal donors to the project.

 

The organization announced on the occasion that Biswanath Patnaik has pledged 25 million pounds for the construction of a grand temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath in London, which will be funded by the Finnest group of companies, of which he is the managing director, the organization said in a statement. .

 

The company's managing director Arjun Kar revealed that the group has committed £7 million to purchase 15 acres of land for the construction of the temple, which will be known as the Shree Jagannath Temple London.
