Congress Corners PM Modi on Air Chief's Revelation, Questions Why Operation Sindoor Was Suddenly Halted

(Fast Mail):-- The Congress party has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi following Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh’s revelation about Operation Sindoor, during which six Pakistani aircraft, including five fighter jets, were shot down.

Congress stated that this makes it even more critical to question why PM Modi abruptly halted Operation Sindoor on the evening of May 10.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh questioned the source of the pressure that led to the operation's termination.

In a post on X, Ramesh wrote, "After the new revelation by Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh today, it becomes even more shocking why the Prime Minister suddenly stopped Operation Sindoor on the evening of May 10."

He further asked, "Where did the pressure on the Prime Minister come from, and why did he has to back down so quickly?"

Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, speaking at an event in Bengaluru on Saturday, confirmed that the Indian Air Force shot down five Pakistani fighter jets and one large aircraft during Operation Sindoor, describing it as the largest surface-to-air shootdown record by India.

Based on this revelation, Congress has once again cornered PM Modi over the abrupt halt of Operation Sindoor.

Congress has consistently criticised the Modi government over claims by former U.S. President Trump that he facilitated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan by threatening to stop trade.

Congress argues that when the Indian military had a decisive advantage over Pakistan, why did PM Modi succumb to Trump’s pressure and halt Operation Sindoor? However, the government has so far failed to provide a clear response on this issue.
