Sharad Pawar Supports Rahul Gandhi on Voter List Concerns
(Fast Mail News):--Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar, speaking in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on Saturday, urged all citizens to unite in protecting India’s interests in response to the tariff issue imposed by the United States.
He called for everyone to stand with the government on this matter.
Addressing a press conference at the Nagpur Press Club, Pawar stated that U.S. President Donald Trump is exerting pressure on India through tariffs.
He emphasized that citizens should support the government to safeguard India’s interests on this issue.
Pawar noted, “In the past five years, we have observed Trump’s mindset and approach, and we are still witnessing it. I don’t want to say that diplomacy has failed at this moment, but we cannot ignore the issue either.”
Pawar added that there is no need to focus excessively on Trump.
Regarding India’s foreign policy, he remarked, “Our approach is such that we won’t engage in extensive discussions on tariffs, but we cannot overlook them either.”
On the issue of voter list irregularities raised by Rahul Gandhi, Pawar said that Rahul had conducted a thorough study and presented his findings to the public regarding the issues in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
He criticised Union Home Minister Amit Shah for attempting to divert attention from the issue instead of addressing it.
Pawar announced that the INDIA alliance would raise this matter during their protest on Monday, including concerns about Bihar’s voter list.
He highlighted that the issue has caused disruptions in Parliament over the past 15 days, preventing the House from functioning and obscuring the real situation from the public. As a result, doubts persist about the integrity of Bihar’s voter list,he added.
