Dacoit gang raided while planning to commit dacoity

DHENKANAL: Kamakhyanagar police has nabbed a dacoitygang while they were planning to commit dacoity in Alutuma village area lastnight.While police were able to nab three dacoits five others managed toescape in the darkness. Police are hopeful to nab them after getting theiridentity.

The arrested are M.Beg,28,Anil Kumar Naik,29 and Biswajit Behera,25.Allthese belong to local areas of the district.Police also seized one gun, one sword,one bhujali andsome hand-made bombs during their raid.

According to Kamakyanagar IIC DhirenKumar Behera police team was on petrol last night near village Alutuma wherethey got credible information that some criminals have assembled in the mangogarden near village Aluthma.On receiving information police team rushed to thespot .

After seeing the police team the criminals started dispersing. Three ofthem were nabbed and five others escaped in the darkness. The IIC said, theiridentity has been established and will be nabbed soon. The arrested have been forwardedto court todayOn investigation, it was also known the gang isinvolved in other criminal activities in the police station area.
