Devastation in Gaza ! Over 200 Killed in Israeli Bombardment At Hamas Positions

TEL AVIV/GAZA STRIP: Over 200 persons have been killed as Israel has once again conducted a series of airstrikes targeting Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip.According to sources, this death toll could rise further.

According to reports, this is the deadliest attack in Gaza since the ceasefire came into effect in January. Several children have also lost their lives in the rocket attacks. The Israeli military stated after the airstrike that its operations in Gaza will continue beyond the air assaults. Israel has described this as the largest attack in the region since the ceasefire was implemented in January.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he ordered the attack due to a lack of significant progress in negotiations to extend the ceasefire. Netanyahu’s office stated, “Israel will now intensify its military strength to take action against Hamas.” The overnight strikes have ended a period of calm and raised fears of the resumption of a 17-month-long conflict that has already claimed over 48,000 Palestinian lives and left Gaza in ruins.

The Israeli military said it will continue targeting Hamas commanders and their terrorist bases in Gaza. The army emphasized that the attacks will persist as long as necessary, with plans to expand the operation beyond airstrikes.

Israel’s attacks have cast uncertainty over the fate of approximately 24 Israeli citizens held hostage by Hamas, who are believed to still be alive. In a statement, Hamas condemned the Israeli strikes, saying they have put the future of the hostages at risk. Meanwhile, an Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that Israel is targeting Hamas militants, their leaders, and infrastructure, with plans to further escalate the operation beyond airstrikes.

Notably, more than 48,000 Palestinians have been killed so far in Israel’s attacks, and Gaza has suffered widespread destruction. Following this latest assault, the fate of around two dozen Israeli hostages held by Hamas is now also in jeopardy.
