Five day long festivities of 'Diwali' begins,Dhanteras celebrated across the country
NEW DELHI: The celebration of Diwali has started from Friday after 12.35 pm and will continue till 2 pm on Saturday.
Dhanteras shopping will take place on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday evening, there will be 1 auspicious time each for Dhanvantari Puja and Yam Deepdan. There is a crowd in the markets since morning for shopping on Dhanteras. Even during the rains, people are coming to the shops for shopping. Buying brooms, utensils, gold and silver items on Earth is considered auspicious. At the same time, we also buy electronic items.
The markets of many cities including Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai are looking vibrant for shopping on Dhanteras. Various types of offers are also being given to attract customers. Due to the increased crowd in the markets, a glow is visible on the faces of the shopkeepers.
The markets of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh are buzzing on Dhanteras, the first day of the five-day Diwali festival. A huge crowd of customers is being seen at jewelery shops and utensils shops.
