Foreign trade grows in Nepal in 1st 3 months of new FY

 Nepal's external trade surged in the first three months of the current 2025-26 fiscal year due to rising exports and imports, the Department of Customs said on Sunday. 

The total volume of foreign trade grew 26.04 percent year-on-year to 540.86 billion Nepali rupees between mid-July and mid-October, the department said in a report.

 Exports surged 89.64 percent to 72.78 billion rupees, while imports rose 19.79 percent to 468.08 billion rupees, it added. (1 Nepali rupee equals 0.0071 U.S. dollar)
