Four dacoits arrested by Dhenkanal police while planning to commit dacoity

 DHENKANAL: Motanga police have arrested four notorious dacoits who were planning to commit dacoits in Hindol road area last night..The arrested are Raj Kishore Nayak,34,Sraban Nayak,23Santosh Mahakud,42 and Alok Bhutia,40.They all belong to local villages of Dhenkanal.During the raid the fifth accomplice Bablu Nayak has escaped during the police raid.

Police seized one pistol,two bhujalis and one sword from these criminals.A sum of rupees 15,000 was also seized from their possession.

The additional Suryamani Pradhan said,a patrol party on duty last night led by ASI BC Dehury.He got an information from credible sources that at Hindol jungle some criminals have assembled with deadly weapons to commit crime.He immediately rushed to the spot with police team and stormed  while they were in the meeting.The police team stalled the spot and nabbed four criminals while the fifth one managed to escape.



 The police seized one pistol ,one sword and other sharp edged weapons from their possession.

Pradhan said the criminals were brought to the police station where they admitted that they would try to commit crime in the local area.All the arrested have been forwarded to court today,Pradhan said.

He said,there were several cases against these criminals in various police stations of the district.
