15-20 Feared Swept Away After Bridge Over Indrayani River Collapses in Maharashtra's Pune
A steel bridge over the Indrayani River in Pune district, Maharashtra, collapsed on Sunday afternoon, raising fears that several people may have been swept away, according to police. Reports suggest 15 to 20 people are feared to have been swept away.
Police stated that three people have been rescued so far following the incident near Kundmala in Maval tehsil. An official reported that a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is conducting rescue operations at the site.
An officer from Talegaon Dabhade police station said, "As per preliminary information, one person is feared to have been swept away due to the collapse of the steel bridge over the Indrayani River, while three others have been rescued."
