Health minister visits diarrhoea affected area of Bhuban

 DHENKANAL: The state health minister Mukesh Mahaling today visited Bhuban Notified Area Council following the outbreak of diarrhoea for the last two days.He also flagged off stop diarrhoea campaign from Bhuban which will continue in the state till July 31.

Accompanied by Dhenkanal MP Rudranarayan Pany,MLAs Bibhuti Pradhan,Satrughana Jena,Simarani Naik, collector Somesh Upadhyay and CDMO Sanjay Mohapatra inspected Bhuban community health centre and interacted with the patient. He also discussed with doctors about the diarrhoea situation prevailing in the urban area. On the shortage of doctors, he promised to meet the need so as to make the Bhuban hospital a full-fledged.

 

 According to Bhuban doctor Dr Ramesh Sahoo, today there were 18 patients turned up to hospital out of whom five affected have been admitted. Their condition is stated as normal. So far 90 persons from different wards of the NAC have been affected in the disease and there is no death. He said,out of this five were referred to Dhenkanal district headquarter hospital where their conditions are stable.

 The CDMO said,the outbreak of diarrhoea in Bhuban NAC area has largely been contained with no other new area in the district has been affected by the disease. Precautionary and remedial measures have been taken elaborately in Bhuban and other areas to prevent the outbreak of diarrhoea.
