India Destroys Several Pak Airbases, Army Says ‘Every Provocation Being Responded To’
Colonel Sofia Qureshi addressing a joint press conference said , “The Pakistani military has been continuously attacking along the western borders, using drones, long-range weapons, loitering munitions, and fighter jets to target Indian military bases. India neutralized many threats, but Pakistan attempted air infiltration at over 26 locations.”
She added, “Pakistan used high-speed missiles at 1:40 a.m. to target an airbase in Punjab. They also attacked health facilities and schools.”
Colonel Sofia Qureshi further stated, “Immediate counterattacks were launched in response to Pakistan’s actions. Precision weapons and fighter jets targeted Pakistani military bases at Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, and Rahim Yar Khan. The Sialkot airbase was also hit. We ensured minimal collateral damage. Pakistan misused international air routes by using civilian aircraft as cover.”
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said during the press conference, “In a swift and planned response, the Indian Armed Forces conducted precise strikes on identified military targets only. Pakistan has repeatedly attempted a malicious misinformation campaign, claiming to have destroyed India’s S-400 system and airports in Surat and Sirsa. India categorically rejects these false claims spread by Pakistan.”
The Indian Armed Forces successfully neutralized these threats and most vectors. However, equipment and personnel at Indian Air Force stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj sustained limited damage. High-speed missile attacks were also observed on several airbases in Punjab after 1:40 a.m.”
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri described Pakistan’s actions as escalatory. He said, “In the last 2-3 press briefings, we highlighted that Pakistani activities are escalating tensions and provoking us. India has adopted a defensive stance in response. This morning, Pakistan again took provocative and escalatory actions. Pakistan claimed to have destroyed Adampur, Suratpur, S-400, Nagrota’s ammunition center, and BrahMos facility. We reject these claims. Heavy shelling with artillery and mortars continues in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, and Akhnoor.”
Foreign Secretary Misri also warned against fake news, stating, “Pakistan’s false claims have been exposed. Pakistani state agencies are claiming attacks and destruction, asserting they targeted military facilities—these are all lies. Claims of large-scale attacks on power and infrastructure systems are false. Pakistan is continuously targeting civilians and civilian buildings, attempting to incite communal discord in India. Civilians are being killed, and buildings damaged in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. An administrative officer was killed in Jammu & Kashmir. Currently, India’s military bases remain secure.”
