Mallikarjuna Kharge calls upon Congress workers to get ready for 2024 Lok Sabha election after winning Karnataka

New Delhi, May 14:-- Congress National President Mallikarjuna Kharge called upon the Congress workers to get ready for the 2024 Lok Sabha election after winning Karnataka. Speaking at the Congress leaders media interaction in Bengaluru today, he said that the battle is won but war has to be won in 2024. He thanked the people for giving absolute majority to a party after 35 years in the state. He said that the Mekedatu march by Karnataka Congress leaders and Bharat Jodo Yatra by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi helped win the election in Karnataka.

The State Party President D.K Shivakumar assured that all the guarantees promised by the party manifesto will be fulfilled and five main guarantees will be approved in the first cabinet itself. He informed that the Legislative party meeting of the party will be held tomorrow at 5.30 pm to take the Government formation process forward.

Senior leader Siddaramaiah who spoke on the occasion, said that the people were fed up with the BJP government and people had desired a change. It was informed in the meeting that the Congress has won 136 seats today and Darshan Puttanaya of Raitha Sangha and Independent candidate Puttaswamy Gowda have extended their support to the Congress.
