Tenure of BJP President JP Nadda extended till June 2024
NEW DELHI:The tenure of BJP's National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has been extended by one year in the two-day National Executive Meeting of the BJP (BJP) going on in Delhi on Tuesday.
Nadda will now remain the party president till June 2024. Lok Sabha General Election and Assembly Elections of many states are to be held in 2024. This is an important decision in view of these elections.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh proposed to extend JP Nadda's tenure as party president and the executive committeeunanimously accepted it.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing the executive meeting said that the party has performed well under his leadership. He said that according to the party constitution, the organization is formed.
“Last year, membership campaign could not start on time due to Covid. This is the year to increase the membership drive”,he said.
