WASHINGTON: Tulsi Gabbard has been appointed as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) of the United States, marking a significant milestone as the first Hindu to hold the position.She was confirmed by the Senate in a 52-48 votes from the Hindu-American community.

Hindu-Americans have warmly welcomed Gabbard’s appointment to one of the most influential intelligence roles in the US government under President Donald Trump.

Suhag Shukla, a Hindu-American, said on X , “Confirmed! Tulsi Gabbard is our country’s DNI!”.
