Women Reservation Bill introduced in Lok Sabha, discussion to be held tomorrow

 NEW DELHI: Nari Shakti Vandan Bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha today. The proceedings of the second day of the special session of Parliament took place in the New Parliament House today. A bill providing for 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Councils was introduced in the Lok Sabha today.

This bill was presented in the Lok Sabha by Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal. He said that women will get 33 percent reservation in the Lok Sabha and Assembly. Now this bill will be discussed tomorrow. PM Modi has named the Women's Reservation Bill as Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyaan. He said that this bill will strengthen democracy and women's participation in the Lok Sabha will increase.

According to reports,there is a provision of one-third reservation for SC and ST. After discussing the Women's Reservation Bill tomorrow, it will be passed again. Emphasis has been laid on implementing the Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha as soon as possible. Opposition party Congress had also raised the demand to implement the Women's Reservation Bill as soon as possible. At the same time, the government is also emphasizing on implementing this bill as soon as possible.

 

 

 There is a provision for one-third reservation in the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), which OBCs have not been given a place in the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. Because even in the Constitution it was not given to the legislatures. This quota will not be implemented in Rajya Sabha or even in the Legislative Councils of the states.

BSP chief Mayawati has welcomed this bill. She said that this bill was pending for a long time. If 50 percent reservation was given to women instead of 33, she would have welcomed it. At the same time, SP has once again raised the demand for quota within the quota.
