World's first such case, elderly infected with plant fungus in Kolkata

Kolkata, Apr 1, (Fast Mail News):-- A 61-year-old man has been diagnosed with "para tracheal" infection in metropolitan Kolkata. It is a fungal infection of plants. Before this, such a case had not come to the fore anywhere in the world.

  

Sources said that the man is a plant micrologist and had been doing research on mushrooms and fungi of various plants for a long time. No person working on plants before this has been infected with plant fungus in this way. After this new case came to the fore, fresh research has started on it. Along with this, the apprehension has also started increasing that the fungus of plants can spread deadly infection in humans as well.

 

 

 

 After getting infected, the person's voice became heavy and hoarse. Was having trouble swallowing food and was also complaining of constant fatigue. After struggling with this problem for three months, he was shown to the doctors. After X-ray and CT scan there, it was found that in the result of CT scan, paratrichal abscess was seen in the neck, which can block the way of breathing, which can also kill the person. His sample was sent to the "WHO Collaborating Center for Research on Fungi of Medical Importance" for testing. Chondrosterim purpureum treatment was suggested from here, after which the person's condition is improving.

 

A researcher from a private hospital in Kolkata said that the traditional techniques of fungal infection from plants to humans have failed to detect this infection microscopically. That is why this infection is worrying. However, the research on the infection of that person is going on and a report has also been given to the State Health Department. There should be no panic among the people, so the name of the victim has not been disclosed.
